New Cafe being constructed at Belk

Currently, a new 24-hour hub for students is being built at the second floor of Belk Hall, which will be available in June of this year. The new area will include a café named Sandella’s Flatbread Café that will be open until 11:30 P.M. daily, and a place for students to hang out at any time.
On April 25 there was a tasting on the first floor of Belk for students and faculty to try out the new cafes food options.
The café offers items including burritos, paninis, quesadillas, wraps, flatbreads, and wings. Students can utilize their meal plans at this location through a meal exchange program.
The hangout part of the hub includes gaming, entertainment, and spaces for students to work or relax. The hub area will stay open for students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Included in this area is a 120-inch projector screen, lounge area with comfortable seating, meeting room with displays for audio and visual technology, and much more.
A new elevator is also being installed in Belk for accessibility to all for the second floor hub.
This new addition is being built in collaboration with WPU’s food provider, Sodexo.
