Psalm 150:1-2
“Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.”
Gospel Choir is a spiritual organization on William Peace University Campus. The organization provides a space for students who want to connect with their faith through worship and praise.
President of Gospel Choir Anthony Williams said his plans for this school year include a spring concert, community outreach, and also a campus day concert.
He said the main goal of the organization is to reach out to the campus community and to touch souls through music and praise.
“It’s ok to praise God while in college, it’s ok to be involved in campus ministry,” Williams said. “The WPU gospel choir has given foundation, space where I don’t have to be ashamed. It gives others the chance to be involved.”
“As a traditional singer I wanted a faith-based singing group on campus,” says Saquan Howard, the Choir Director.
The organization meets every Monday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Their first singing event was Oct. 29.
