Tree Lighting

With a little less than a month before the holidays, it is obviously time to get in the spirit. In order to do so you need to know the holiday events near you! Here are some of the holiday events going on here in Raleigh.
One Day Events:
-Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting Celebration
November 30th

Only a few blocks away from Peace, enjoy the tree lighting on South Street. Local vendors including, food and beverages, will be surrounding the event for purchases. Santa will also be roaming the streets for pictures and fun!
-Jingle Bell Run-Raleigh
December 1st
[ $35 ]
Give back while working out and participating in the Jingle Bell 5K Run this season. 100% of the money raised goes to and supports The Arthritis Foundation.

-Piper Lights
November 23rd – January 3rd

Piper Lights is a well known light show in Wake Forest that is going on its 30th year. It is a free show, but donations are welcomed to help continue the tradition. Don’t forget to stop in the shop on location and get a hot chocolate or a bag of popcorn, but they only take cash! The Piper Lights are the perfect way to start the holiday season off!
-Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shop
November 8th – December 24th

The Cary Bass Pro Shop is offering a Meet & Greet with Santa, plus a FREE printed photo. If you and your friends or family are looking to capture the moment this season, Bass Pro Shop is the move you should make!
-Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical
November 23rd- December 24th (Friday, Saturday, and Sundays ONLY)

Duke Energy Center presents the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Musical this holiday season! The musical is based on the original Rudolph story, but will also feature many other Christmas characters such as, Mr and Mrs. Clause, the Abominable Snowman, Clarice, and more! Treat yourself this season to a fun and musical Christmas evening!
-North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival
November 23rd- January 13th (Monday’s they are CLOSED)

The North Carolina Chinese Festival is a beautiful light display that shows the Chinese Culture. The event is hosted on the water and takes a little over an hour to walk through the entire display. Food and drinks will be available for sale at the event.
-1940’s Radio Christmas Carol
November 30th- December 3rd
[ $18 with Student ID ]
Cary Players presents a comedic play that is a unique spin on A Christmas Carol. The event is playing for only five days, so it is essential to get your tickets early! Enjoy a night of laughs and holiday spirit this season, and get your tickets for the show now!
