TPT Peace Talks Cover Final (Demo)

The Peace Talks podcast is hosting a special live podcast event from the Hip-Hop Symposium at 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, on the second floor of Belk.
Students are invited to the “Listening Lounge” event, where they can participate in discussions on the symposium, games and other Hip Hop-themed activities.
The Hip-Hop and Higher Ed Symposium will take place on April 4-5 on campus, and will explore topics like how hip-hop engages with art, politics, sexual identity, and race. It will also highlight how social responsibility and activism can be inspired through hip-hop.
Hip-Hop and Higher Ed is a partner of the Dreamville Fest happening just a few blocks away from campus. Guest speakers, including Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, will participate in discussions and other events. Hill is an award winning journalist and a former host of BET News. Hill holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on intersections between culture, politics, and education in the United States and Middle East.
Peace Talks is a part of The Peace Times. The hosts cover a wide range of topics including pop culture, music, movie reviews, and events happening on campus and in the community. You can keep up with the Peace Talks podcast by subscribing on platforms like Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, and Anchor.
“I enjoy how loose it is when we shoot it, it’s very relaxed and you can be yourself,” says Will Dalton, a member of The Peace Times and an active participant in the Peace Talks Podcast.
