Is Johnny Depp out of the Waters?

By Christian Chrietzberg

In the past years, Johnny Depp has been battling a case against his former ex-wife Amber Heard about how she was abusing Johnny Depp while they were married.

This all started in 2016, Johnny Depp filed a court case to the London High Court that was accusing his former ex-wife Amber Heard of being an abuser in their relationship together when they were married. When the court case started both parties were accusing each other of committing abuse within their relationship. Which made things confusing for the court.

Throughout the case, Johnny Depp brought mounds of evidence to back his claims. He even brought in witnesses who happened to be his ex-wives who stated that Depp is not the one to use abuse in the relationship. In fact, they stated that he was reserved and shy within their relationships of being together.

“I cannot wrap my head around these accusations. He was never, never violent towards me. He was never, never abusive at all towards me. He has never been violent or abusive towards anybody I have seen,” said Winona Ryder.

Whereas Amber Heard had little evidence. Even some of the evidence that she brought forward to the court had been “set up” as an act. Even the victim story that she used to present to the high court was someone else’s.

We later find out that Heard was using her assistant’s victim story from which Johnny brought her to the stand to testify.

“I discovered that Miss heard had in fact stolen my sexual violence conversation with her and twisted it into her own story to benefit herself,” said Kate James.

This should have turned the tables on Heard, but the court judge thought otherwise.

At the end of the court case, the judge deemed that Johnny was the abuser in the relationship and that there is overwhelming evidence that Amber Heard was the victim.

In 2018, there was an article written about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s case written, and published by The Sunn. The Sunn is a UK newspaper company and in the article’s title it called Depp a “Wife Beater”.

Sadly, when Johnny heard about the article he filed a libel court case against the Sunn because of that specific article. But he filed the court case two years later in order to build up his case. At the end of the court case, the judge dismissed the case because the words used in The Sun’s report were legally acceptable as a title.

Years later, Johnny Depp filed a defamation case against Amber Heard. A defamation case is a false and unprivileged statement of fact that is harmful to someone’s reputation. If Amber loses this case against Johnny she will face 5 years of prison time and she would have to pay 50 million dollars.

This case is still ongoing and is revealed that the case will be pushed back until 2022. The main reason is so that Johnny’s team can uncover and hopefully, get more evidence and use it against Amber Heard in order to win the case.
