On Nov. 15 WPU hosted their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony as a way to welcome students into Fall break and the Thanksgiving holiday.

“I think it’s probably the best event at WPU,” said Jacob Trump a junior at WPU. “Not only do Peace students get together but others from the Raleigh community as well,” said Trump.

The event offered free food and hot chocolate, along with live holiday music to immerse students in their surroundings. WPU President Dr. Brian Ralph also spoke at the event, as well as giving the count down to the tree lighting.

After the tree lighting students and their families were given the opportunity to have their pictures taken and printed out in front of the tree by a professional photographer.
