A brand new business has recently made its way to the streets of Seaboard Station. This new addition is a smoothie bar shop, and it has caught the attention of many Raleigh locals and WPU students. This chic but vibrant smoothie bar provides numerous flavors, combinations, and choices of toppings for your smoothie bowl or your smoothie blend in a graciously sized cup. Their menu is full and abundant and customers are able to mix and match as they like.
Palm Berries is an originally NC family-owned and operated business from Denver NC, their number one specialty: making acai bowls out of good, healthy ingredients. They stress the importance of organic ingredients and superfoods that are incorporated into their smoothies; they strive for the goal of making nutrition and health simple and tasty.
When you first enter the shop, the aroma of blended fruits and granola instantly fills your nose and encourages the ideas of what you would like to have in your own smoothie. A notable mention to add is that the visuals within the shop definitely bring forth a tropical and refreshing feel with the turquoise blue walls, blue wooden tables, tropical tree paintings, and hanging plants from the ceiling.

Within the first couple weeks since its welcoming of WPU students, it’s become a new conversation topic as well as a new chill spot for students to get niche smoothies. Palm Berries is the ideal shop on Seaboard Station, and is also conventionally convenient in terms of food option. This new addition to Seaboard Station definitely adds more variety; if you’re not in the mood for a biscuit sandwich from Biscuit Belly, and you want something else on a particular morning beside coffee from Starbucks, palm berries can give you that break from your regular breakfast routine.
Another enticing visual feature of Palm Berries is that on the left side of the walls of their shop, are plaques that share with customers the story of how Palm Berries came to be and what their ingredients are, and how they benefit to health and wellness; ingredients such as flax seeds, chia seeds, goji berries and more.
Aside from the beautiful interior, their menu is also worth marveling over. As mentioned earlier, they provide a variety of bowls and blends, just name a couple of specials, for bowls they have one named Sunset, which is a tropical-based smoothie bowl that includes pineapples, mangos, and kiwi, topped off with goji berries, coconut flakes, and a sweet drizzle. Another popular one is also the Palm, a pure base that includes strawberries and kiwis and is topped with chocolate chips, almonds, and some Nutella. The menu also allows the option to mix and create your bowl to your preference and liking, with this feature a customer can choose their base, pick 1-2 choice toppings, their dressings, and of course sizes that range from a snack bowl to a jumbo.

Lastly, William Peace students do receive a 10% discount on an order, all that is needed is your student ID. During the week of classes, students flocked to see what the buzz of Palm Berries was about. Rohia Nahra, a student from WPU exclaimed “I could definitely see myself being here more, the environment is 10/10” as she enjoyed her smoothie and the scenery. If you’re interested in trying, you’ll be happy to know that Palm Berries sits one store down from Biscuit Belly, making Seaboard Station even that much more convenient for WPU students.
