William Peace Men’s Basketball currently sits at 6-11 overall and 0-6 in conference play. William Peace will look for their first conference win hosting Methodist on Thursday, January 29th.

Junior guard Parker Hodsgon has averaged the most minutes on the team at 31 minutes a game. Parker also leads the team in scoring at 13 points per game.

“I think the team as a whole has done a good job of coming every day ready to compete, not just on game day. We have stayed together as a group even through our losing streak.”

Hodsgon’s confidence remains high despite the losing streak.

Despite only starting one game this year, Ryan Lominack has still averaged 11 minutes per game.

“This season has gone poorly from a wins and losses perspective. However, we’ve gone through a lot of adversity as a team, and our bond has grown,” said Lominack.

Lominack still has a high regard of confidence for the team, even though that is not where they wanted to be at this point in the season.

“From an individual perspective, I’ve grown the most in my ability to bounce back from poor performances, not letting mistakes and bad nights keep me down,” said Lominack.

Lominack has shown a sense of maturity in his confidence, even during some low points throughout the season.

Peace is coming off a hard-fought loss to North Carolina Wesleyan. Despite being down by 13 points at halftime, Peace battled back in the second half. Peace struggled from the free throw line this game, shooting 15-26.

William Peace Sophomore Guard Elijah Cathcart led the team with 18 points while knocking down 5 threes.
