Fall sports are in full swing at William Peace University. Pacer teams are continuing to compete as they work through their schedules. From volleyball in the gym to soccer on the field, students and fans have had plenty of action to follow this semester.

One of the biggest stories this fall has been the women’s volleyball team’s growth under first-year head coach Logan Bryant. Bryant joined the program after serving as an assistant coach during the 2025 season. As a William Peace graduate, she already knows what it means to represent the Pacers and is working to help the team improve.

Volleyball Keeps Fighting

The Pacers have had some exciting moments this season. On Oct. 10, William Peace earned a five-set win over Greensboro before sweeping Johnson & Wales Charlotte in three sets. The team played well on both sides of the court, showing its ability to fight through tough matches.

Aubrey Chesson and Aaliyah Anderson each recorded 13 kills against Greensboro, while Madison Fisher made a big impact at the net with 11 blocks. These performances helped the Pacers earn two important wins in one day.

The team has also faced challenges this season, but the players are learning from every match. On Oct. 17, the Pacers bounced back with a 3-1 win over Methodist University. The victory helped the team build momentum as it continued conference play.

Sophomore Aaliyah Anderson said the season has gone well so far, even though the team has faced tough competition.

“I think our season has been going pretty well so far. We’ve had some good wins and tough losses, but we’re learning and growing as a team. Obviously we can always still improve and be more consistent, but I’m excited to see how we finish the season,” Anderson said.

Anderson’s comments show the team still has room to improve. Despite some tough losses, the Pacers are focused on learning from their mistakes and becoming a stronger team. With more matches ahead, the players hope to keep improving and finish the season strong.

Soccer Teams Continue Conference Play

The men’s soccer team has also been competing hard this fall. On Oct. 10, the Pacers faced Southern Virginia University at WakeMed Soccer Park. William Peace scored twice in the first half but lost 3-2. Even though the team fell short, it showed the tough force it will be in the conference tournament.

As conference play continues, every match gives the team another chance to improve and work toward its goals.

The women’s soccer team also earned an important win this fall. On Oct. 16, the Pacers defeated Methodist University 2-1, earning their first USA South conference win of the season. Savanna Berckmiller scored both goals, helping William Peace come back after falling behind in the first half.

The win gave the team something positive to build on as the season continued. Results like this show why teams must keep working hard, even when things don’t go as planned.

More Than Just Volleyball and Soccer

Volleyball and soccer are not the only teams representing William Peace this fall. Men’s and women’s golf and cross country also join the university’s fall sports season. Each team has its own goals and challenges, but they all represent the same school and help bring the athletic community together.

Fall sports are about more than just winning and losing. They give students a reason to come together, support their classmates and show pride in their school. Whether it is cheering after a big volleyball point or watching a close soccer game, supporting the teams can make college more exciting.

Show Your Pacer Pride!

As the fall season continues, students and fans still have opportunities to get involved. Supporting the teams shows student-athletes that their hard work is appreciated and helps build a stronger campus community.
