Summer break is right around the corner. Are you prepared to strut your swimsuit?
It’s time to cut out the sweets and focus more on fruits and veggies. Throw those Valentine’s chocolates in the trash, and get going with a healthy start.
William Peace University has many options to direct you to a healthy lifestyle, including yoga class “Healthy Body Healthy Mind” on Mondays in the Herman Student Dance Studio from 3 p.m-4 p.m, and Zumba, a Latin inspired, calorie burning fitness party. Zumba classes are held on Wednesdays from 5 p.m-6 p.m in the dance studio as well.
If dance and yoga aren’t your thing, and you enjoy the outdoors, Pacer Run Club is a new addition to the University that meets every Monday at 5:01 p.m in front of the fountain.
Some students find dieting and fitness DVDs the key to their success.
Rubi Hernandez and Taylor Murray are both sophomores at WPU, and just recently joined Weight Watchers.
“I asked Taylor if she would join with me to help me commit,” Hernandez said.
Fitness DVDs are also a good option, and very convenient because you can exercise in your room.
Lauren Naugle, a WPU sophomore has been using a workout DVD called “Insanity”. It is a two-month workout program that involves non-stop, 45 minute cardio workout.
“Its extremely hard and pushes me, but in the end the results have been great,” Naugle said.
