The Career Center of William Peace University is holding a series of job search networking meetings.
Assistant Director of Career Services, Kathleen Monroe, said, “The purpose of the meeting is for students to utilize contacts and people they already know.”
These meetings are open to students, alumni and students from the School of Professional Studies.
“Students should begin networking very soon after arriving at college,” Monroe said.
During a recent meeting, some students expressed concerns about future opportunities and were encouraged to create or update their resumes.
“I have an idea of what I want to do,” said Reba Hodge, a WPU junior. “I’m looking for an internship. If students do not know where to start, attend a meeting…it is only an hour.”
Future meetings dates include:
- October 11
- October 25
- November 8
Meetings will be held in Main 13 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
