The William Peace University men’s basketball team has accomplished another goal for their first year. This past weekend they traveled to Charlotte and defeated the Johnson and Wales Wildcats.

“This should be a step in the right direction for us,” says one of the team captains, Mike Wolfe, a William Peace University sophomore.

The Pacers previously defeated the Wildcats earlier in the season at a tournament held on Guilford College campus, which was their first game and win of the season.

“They are going to come at you guys with everything they have because they don’t believe they should’ve lost last time,” says William Peace University Coach Claude Shields.

The Pacers came out victorious against the Wildcats with a 78-69 win.

After the game, Wolfe said, “It was a great win for us. We are really starting to come together as a team and having a lot of fun playing together.”
