The William Peace University softball team looks promising for their upcoming spring 2013 season. They have eleven returners and are adding nine new players to the roster.
“I think we are going to have a great season, we have a lot of great returners along with a lot of great new players,” said Victoria Wright, a Peace sophomore softball player.
“What we can learn from last year is just give it our all and keep working hard, and it will pay off in the end.”
The softball team is hoping to come out on top of the conference at the end of the year. The talent from the returners plus the new players shows much potential for the season.
“This season I look forward to the chance to win first place in our conference,” said Victoria Powell.
“I think the time and effort that is going to have to be put into softball is going to be more than high school and I believe the competition is going to better. My team as a whole is wonderful, everybody has a place, and job to do, but it also helps that our team clicks and works well together.”
