The William Peace University’s tennis team is looking strong for their upcoming spring season.
They have seven returners and three incoming freshman.
“If your team can take a loss as a win, then that is when you are true winners and successful on the court,” said Samantha Davis a WPU tennis player.
“I highly believe we are going to kill this season with the team we have.”
The tennis team had their first match on February 24 and only lost 5-4.
“Even though we lost I still believe we are going to have an amazing season because our team is like one big family,” said Paige Ingalls, a WPU tennis player.
“One major difference in college is that you play doubles first whereas in high school you play singles first.”
Team members say with the incoming freshman and the experience of the returners, Pacer Tennis is looking to have a great season ahead.
