Bad Daddy's Pet Adoption Campaign

According to the American Humane Association, approximately 8 million stray and unwanted animals are taken in by shelters across the country each year. And nearly half of these animals must be euthanized because good homes cannot be found for them. In fact, shelter euthanasia is the leading cause of death for both dogs and cats in the United States.
The purpose of the Bad Daddy’s Pet Adoption Campaign 2013 is to create awareness about the misuse, abuse, and neglect of animals. The campaign allows an outreach to the public in order to educate people on the importance and issues of pet overpopulation.
After having a recent fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar plans continue giving back to good causes.
“This is our second event,” says Cov DeRamus, one of the operating partners at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar of Raleigh. “We are really excited about the campaign. It will help show our love for animals and support for different causes. We want to get involved in the community and hope to do so in various ways.”
While this is the second fundraiser event that Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar of Raleigh is doing, the Bad Daddy’s Pet Adoption Campaign 2013 will be the first pet adoption for Underdog Ranch, a new nonprofit organization.
Underdog Ranch was recently created by the president and founder, Danella Anderson. The co-founders include Kim Anastasi, Yvonne Schaberg, and Tammy Brand.
Underdog Ranch pulls animals from high kill shelters as well as from the general public in order to give every animal a chance.
The founder and co-founders of Underdog Ranch say they have always had a passion for finding animals a better place and forever homes.
“We are excited about this being our first event,” says Anastasi. “It was always our passion and dream to help animals and we have since we were young. It is good to be a part of this.”
The Bad Daddy’s Pet Adoption Campaign 2013 is holding an event on Saturday, April 6, at the Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar located at 111 Seaboard Ave, across from WPU.
The event will have Underdog Ranch in front of the Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar restaurant with animals people can interact with and have a chance to adopt.
Part of the earnings from the whole day at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar will be donated to Underdog Ranch.
The event will start at 11 a.m. and go until 11 p.m.
