Have you started thinking about internships?

No matter what year you are, now is the time to start thinking about your internship.
If you haven’t already, go to Career Services and talk to either Barbara Efird or Kathleen Monroe about future internships.
Also, ask them to help you get on the College Central Network website. College Central sends out multiple upcoming internships a day for all different majors and could lead you to the internship you plan on pursuing.
“I urge students to find an internship as soon as possible considering it is a requirement here at Peace,” said Taylor Murray, a junior at WPU.
“I went ahead and did an internship junior year because it helps you narrow down the path you want to take in your career, and it could even lead to a part-time or full-time job,” said Murray.
College Central not only has internships available, but also part-time and full-time jobs.
But the key to landing one of these internships or jobs is to have an outstanding resume, and even better cover letter.
“When applying for an internship, make sure to have a resume and cover letter that sets you apart from everyone else, that will catch their eye,” said Murray.
The great thing about Career Services is they not only help you find the internships that fit with your major and career path, but also help you put together a resume using optimal resume, and a great cover letter that will get you that interview.
Now is the perfect time to go to Career Services so that you can find that summer job or internship, or even a fall internship that could possibly lead to the career path you plan on taking.
Do not sit back any longer letting someone else take that perfect internship that was meant for you. Use the many resources we have here at Peace and start your future today.
