From monogrammed necklaces to Lilly Pulitzer cell-phone cases, three Peace communication students had to learn about all of it in order to create a public relations and marketing campaign for the Pink Alli, a local boutique owned by alumna Alli Leggett.
As part of their Strategic Communication class, seniors Jeanna Buck, Brittany Smith and Arielle De Pas had a goal to bring more attention to Leggett’s store.
“Since Peace is a huge example of Alli’s target market, we really wanted to get her back on campus,” said Peace senior, Brittany Smith.
“As an alum, she is very involved and we wanted to include an event that showcased her and and her company.”
Jeanna Buck said she has learned a lot from the experience.
“I love being able to apply what I have learned in class,” Buck said.
“And of course, working with Alli has been a wonderful experience. I love that she is an alum of Peace and is so easy to work with.”
To cap off their semester-long campaign, the students will be showcasing some of The Pink Alli’s goods on Thursday, April 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Second Belk.
A part of the proceeds will be donated back to Peace.
