Now that school is back in session, we are all looking for a way to blow off some steam from the first couple of weeks.

Luckily, Hopscotch Music Festival will be right in the middle of downtown Raleigh starting September 5th and running through the 7th.

There will be 175 bands playing throughout the weekend and not to mention there will be day parties, a cultural series, a charity basketball game and an artisan market.

Hopscotch Music Festival varies in taste of music to appeal to everyone. The genres range from rock, hip-hop, alt-country, metal, dance, punk, to classical.

Senior at William Peace University, Ashley Freeman, said, “I have never been to Hopscotch but have always wanted to, so this year I’m really excited to be able to go to a music festival that is so close to me with a lineup that has everything I like.”

The bands start playing each night at 8:30 pm and will be playing at 15 different venues around downtown.
