New Dining Services Provider Getting Positive Reviews

Something is different this year in the William Peace University Dining Hall.
Sodexo is WPU’s new dining service. The company says it prides itself in providing students, faculty and staff with healthy dining choices for a great price.
There are several food stations with different options for students to choose from, including pizza, a pasta station, made to order deli sandwiches, grill items, a salad bar, and desserts.
“I like the pizza station because who could ever get tired of pizza,” said Ginny Taylor, a WPU junior.
During rush hours, when lunch or dinner is first being served, the lines at the deli station and specialty station can get long, and this may deter some students.
For the health conscious, Sodexo provides the nutrition facts for the food at each station.
Also new this year is the option to have an unlimited meal plan, meaning students can visit the dining hall as much as they’d like.
The dining hall now has longer hours and is open from 7:15 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and closes at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Although meal options are limited during some parts of the day, students will always have the option to eat.
One of the new additions to the dining hall is an ice cream machine, which has been a hit among students.
“I love it,” said Alexis Shriver, a WPU sophomore.
Many students seem to be enjoying the new food and choices available. “We have more variety of food this year,” said Sara Johnson, a WPU Sophomore. “I may gain a few more pounds.”
