The William Peace University’s volleyball team looks promising for their upcoming fall 2013 season.  They won all four of their games in the teams opening tournament in the Averett University’s Cougar Classic.
“The four wins, is an indication of the potential we have with this team and how far we can go this year,” said Maddie Irvin, a Peace sophomore volleyball player.
This year’s volleyball team consists of two seniors Lauren Naugle and Crystal Alston. “I am so excited for my senior year of volleyball especially with the four wins we produced in our opening weekend of play, there is no doubt in my mind that our volleyball program is the best it has been in the four years that I’ve been here,” said Lauren Naugle, a Peace senior volleyball player. “The team works extremely hard in practice and it definitely shows up in games by how well we balance each other out, and I hope we maintain our chemistry. The new additions to the team make us more dynamic than ever.”
Naugle also broke the school record of career aces during the second match of the tournament.
