WPU takes on Switzerland, Italy & France: May 2014

Have you ever thought about traveling internationally? If you have, then why not go on the Switzerland, Italy & France trip in May 2014 with William Peace University.

“Where you go – and just how far – is what shapes your story,” said Kathy Corley, Senior Scholar & International Trip Coordinator. “Expand your horizons and step outside your comfort zone with the ease and security of one of William Peace University’s travel abroad trips.”

This trip offers many different sights while in Switzerland, Italy and France. You will get to experience everything from sightseeing

The Swiss Alps, to a tour of Venice, including Piazza San Marco, Doge’s Palace, & a Glass-Blowing Demo, and so much more.
One of the best aspects about this trip is it only costs around $3,400 a person for so many amazing experiences. This cost covers almost every part of the trip, including:

  • Air from Raleigh to Nice, France and from Zurich, Switzerland to Raleigh
  •  All Ground Transportation by Coach & by Train
  • Nine Nights of Accommodations with private bathrooms
  • Triple or quadruple occupancy; single or double occupancy available at modest $270 additional cost
  • Full-time local Tour Director, as well as Trip Leader from Raleigh (Kathy Corley)
  •  All Breakfasts
  • Six Dinners
  • All Entrance Fees to Sites & All Tour Guides Fees, as noted on Itinerary

• NOTE: You will receive three credit hours for participating in this trip and the accompanying pre-trip prep course (15 contact hours), which is also included in the total cost.

The only costs that it does not cover are lunches, some dinners, beverages & snacks, tips for Tour Leader/Local Guides, misc. travel expenses, i.e. passports.

Peace is also offering a payment plan for the trip, which will expire on Jan. 31st, 2014, that allows you to make monthly payments. Although you can still enroll after Jan. 31st, you will be required as of Feb. 1st, 2014 to pay the total payment in full and then Feb. 8th will be the last day to enroll on the trip altogether, without additional costs.

“The objective is to connect you with other cultures, discover different perspectives and explore new ideas through culturally immersed travel. The memories of the experiences you will have abroad will, undoubtedly, be your greatest “souvenirs,” said Corley.

This could be the perfect opportunity for you to finally get out of your comfort zone. Think about how amazing it would be to learn about other cultures while creating relationships with your other fellow travelers.

Dr. Teresa Holder, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at WPU, who will also be attending the trip said, “The Italy, Switzerland, and France trip has been our most popular trip this year. Student interest was immediate and we’re almost at capacity. It’s great to see.”

“As a Business major and upcoming graduate, I am very excited to not only get to experience the beauty of the Swiss Alps, but also getting to see business play out internationally as we speak with business professionals in Italy is such an amazing graduation gift,” said Taylor Murray, a senior at WPU, who will also be attending the trip.

As you see, this is not only a trip that will broaden your horizons culturally, but also professionally.

“These experiences, such as the trip to France, Italy, and Switzerland, open doors and minds for students like nothing else. This will give you a marketable edge, and advantage on your resume,” said Corley.

With only a few spots left to go on the trip, this is your time to make the decision. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you will not want to miss out on, so make the decision and study abroad!
