“Collegiate athletes are so many times measured by success on the field of play, and their academic achievements go unnoticed or are not the focus of headlines and accolades,” noted Head Coach Charlie Dobbins. “Cheers to the determination and resolve of these eight outstanding student athletes who strived to be the best they can be. This is what it is all about!”

Each of these student-athletes consistently earns recognition for academic success. In addition to the NFCA honor, all eight student-athletes along with Michelle Sheldon-Gregorio earned placement on the USA South’s 2014 All-Academic team. Student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA each of the two semesters in a given academic year to receive this award.

The 2015 softball season opens on February 14th when Salem College comes to Raleigh for a double header. First pitch will be at 1:00 pm.
