On Saturday, September 20, 2014 the William Peace University women’s volleyball team took on Mary Baldwin College.
“I believe this was a good win for us, however, I believe we still have things to work on and get better at for the rest of our season,” said Sarah Weavil, a WPU Sophomore volleyball player.
The women’s volleyball team has eight returners and seven freshmen this year for the 2014 volleyball season.
Weavil stated, “It finally felt like we played as a team together and not just for ourselves anymore.”
Mary Baldwin put up a fight throughout the match; however, Peace came out with a victory. William Peace won in three sets against Mary Baldwin.
“It has been a tough season so far, but we’re working through it the best way we know how which is overcoming the challenges and adversity,” said Merica Ivey, a WPU Junior volleyball player.
The Peace Pacers will be back in action on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Methodist University.
