Peace's Sorority – Gamma Sigma Sigma

William Peace University is home of the Eta Sigma chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma, the only sorority on campus.
Based around service, sisterhood, and equality, GSS promotes friendship and diversity among those who might otherwise not cross paths. If there is one thing all of the girls have in common, it is their passionate drive to help others.
Each member is required to complete a total of 25 hours per semester, but are encouraged to go above and beyond the minimum. GSS holds fundraisers for many worthy causes, such as Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Susan G. Komen- For the Cure.
GSS tends to go under the radar at WPU due to most service events being off campus; however, the girls are constantly planning or doing something to give back to the community.
“I believe this is a wonderful opportunity to get myself involved during my time at Peace,” said Public Relations Coordinator and Alumni Liaison, Natalie Arthur. “My favorite parts of Gamma Sigma Sigma include the community service projects we do and being able to help the community with my fellow sisters.”
The beginning of school for GSS means new elected officers executing their first tasks and duties, planning get togethers, and recruitment week. The Membership Vice President and Executive Board are in charge of coordinating events during a selected week, such as an interest meeting, a service event, a social, and the induction of the Members in Training. After this process is completed, the girls are an official part of GSS and begin their journey of service and friendship.
