Peace's Annual Red Rose Formal is Almost Here

Traine building where the Red Rose Ball will be held

March is almost here, which means there is a very special event approaching at William Peace University. On March 29, Peace will be hosting the annual Red Rose formal from 8:00pm until 11:00pm. This event has been a favorite for many students throughout the years.
This year, Red Rose will be held at Traine, which is a venue just seconds away from Peace at Seaboard Station. This venue is a convenient location for all attendees. Residents on campus can walk across the street or take a Bird scooter and be there in a few short minutes.
This year’s event will be taking students back to the roaring 20’s with a Great Gatsby theme. The dress code as usual is semi-formal, which means no jeans or casual clothes. Students can choose to coordinate their outfits to the theme or dress accordingly.
“My favorite thing about Red Rose is the environment,” said Sarah Scott, junior at WPU. “The area is decorated so nicely and everyone gets the chance to dress up.”
“I would recommend Red Rose because it gives students the opportunity to have fun and spend time with friends outside of the typical school setting.”
There will be tickets for sale to attend the event and students are allowed to bring one guest. The price for the ticket is still uncertain, but will be figured out very soon.
Audrey Moore, Traditions Coordinator for Student Government Association at Peace, is looking forward to this special event. She has spent a lot of time and effort in planning the event.
“Put on your best look and come party like it’s the Roaring 20’s!” said Moore. “SGA and I are working hard to make this event classy and fun for all students. We will have professional catering, lots of music, a photo booth, and a great time definitely in store.”
“Stay tuned for official ticket pricing and more information about how you can have a blast at Red Rose Ball 2019 Great Gatsby Gala.”
Keep in mind all of the great local resources that may be useful in preparing for the formal. There is a nail salon located in Seaboard Station, which is only a several minute walk from campus. Cameron Village is just a short drive from Peace which has various boutiques, mens clothing stores, and several nail and hair salons.
Although food and drink will be provided for the event, you may want to go to a nice dinner beforehand. Bad Daddy’s Burger, 18 Seaboard, and J Betski’s are all located within Seaboard Station and are a short walk from the dance.
